Introduction:

In his 3.5 years of residence at the White House (which he once referred to as “a dump”), Mr. Trump and his administration have taken political corruption to new depths. Indeed, under Trump, the DC political environment has degraded from “A Swamp” to “A Sump”!

What follows is a poem that celebrates the “high points” of the Trump presidency. (NOTE: If you are so inclined, sing the verses using the tune from the 1960’s sitcom “Mr. Ed”; “A horse is a horse, of course, of course…”).

A DITTY FOR DONNY

The Chump in “The Dump”
Is a lump called Trump
Who promised us all
That he’d drain The Sump!
But when they dislodged
A clump from The Sump,
Out popped Mister Trump!

Should you rent a jet
You’ll truly regret
Not working for
Trump’s cabinet
Where they pass the price
Of an expensive ticket
To the taxpayers under Trump!

Did the Russians collude
With “Sir Crudeandlewd”?
Who often pouts
From mood to mood!
Were it not for Barr
This DOPE would be screwed!
Vlad’s comrade, Mister Trump!

We all abhor
The thought of war
Except for “The One
Deferred More than Four”
Who may “tweet-start”
The Ultimate War,
The “Nuke Job”, Mister Trump!

So let’s conclude
With some gratitude
For those who resist
This Arrogant Dude,
Who soon, we hope,
Will be removed,
The Disaster called “The Trump”!
